Japan¡¯s stainless steel scrap imports increase for Jan-The 18th China(Guangzhou)Int'l Stainless Steel Industry Exhibition

According to Japan Ministry of Finance statistics showed in January of 2017, Japan imported 7,398 tons of stainless steel scarp, increased by 1.2% compared with last month. Although LME nickel prices fell in January, but the average imports prices rose from United States, South Korea and Taiwan.
Among them, Japan¡¯s stainless steel scrap import from Korea was 4,177 tons, increased by 11.8% compared with last month; imported from Taiwan was 1,089 tons, fell by 31.6% compared with last month; imported from the United States was 1,122 tons, increased by 11% compared with last month.
