Brazilian stainless steel plate imports grow, exports drop in Mar - The 19th China (Guangzhou) Int’l Plate metal, Bar, wire, Metal Processing &Setting Equipment Exhibition

According to the trade statistics released from Brazil Ministry of Develop and Foreign trade, Brazilian stainless steel plate imports totaled about 5,000 tons in March 2018, grew by 48.7% compared with same month of the previous year. The import value was about US$10.8 million, also increased by 40.8% year on year. Among them, South Africa was the main supply country with about 2,270 tons.
Meanwhile, Brazilian stainless steel exports decreased by 15.6% from the same month of last year, amounted to about 4,400 tons. The export value was about US$8.7 million, dropped by 16% compared with March 2017. Argentina was the main destination with 1,420 tons and about 1,200 tons exports to Uruguay.
