It¡¯s reported that
Russia-based mining and steel company Mechel announced that its crude steel
output totaled 1.098 million tons in the third quarter of this year, falling by
12% from a quarter ago.
Meanwhile, its output of pig iron was at 913,000
tons in the third quarter, decreasing by 11% year on year.
In the given
period of time, Mechel¡¯s sales of steam coal totaled 1.508 million tons, rising
by 5%; that of coking coal was at 2.615 million tons, falling by 10% and that of
iron ore concentrate was at 1.097 million tons, soaring by 16%, all compared to
the figures in the same period of 2012.
