Definition
Thrust ball bearing is a type of axial loading rolling bearing. Its angular contact is greater than 45°. The basic components are shaft ring, seat ring and steel balls with or without cage (retainer).
There are single direction thrust ball bearing and double direction thrust ball bearing.

The thrust bearing is lower speed rotation limit, and just can be axially loaded. With spherical seat ring, it can self-align and so as to eliminate the effect of installation tolerance.

The retainer surface is hydrogen and nitrogen treated, which makes the tensile strength of bearing retainer be enhanced about 64%.
