It is reported that the Chilean Copper Commission (Cochilco) said the global copper surplus will edge higher in 2015.
Cochilco said the surplus will hit 125,000 tons this year, and it will reach 429,000 tons in 2015.
The main reason is because new facilities in Chile, Peru, Mexico, the US and Zambia are expected to be added.
Besides, China’s copper consumption is expected to reach 11.2 million tons in 2015, up by 4.5% year on year.
