Chile’s Escondida said its copper production in the first half reached 605,319 tons, dropping by 2% year on year.
The company’s copper production totaled 615,519 tons during the same period a year ago.
Escondida announced that their sales revenues amounted to US$4.01 billion, down by 4% due to a drop in copper prices. The company’s profit also declined to US$1.3 billion, dropping by 14% year on year.
Escondida is the world''s largest producer and exporter of copper.
