According to statistics from the German Steel Federation (WV Stahl), Germany’s crude steel output amounted to around 3.3 million tons in April this year, decreasing by 11.8% compared to the same month a year ago.
During the period, Germany’s hot-rolled steel production was down by 13.1% year on year to approximately 2.9 million tons.
In the first four months of this year, Germany’s crude steel output totaled around 9.8 million tons, down by 3.7% year on year; the hot-rolled steel output was roughly 8.7 million tons, dropping by 5.4% year on year.
