According to statistics from Pilbara Ports Authority, the iron ore exports in Port Hedland, one of the major iron ore exporting ports in Western Australia, totaled around 48 million tons in January this year, sliding by 6% compared to the previous month while rising by 14% from the same month a year ago.
Among them, the exports to China accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 4.05 million tons, a month-on-month decrease of 4% and a year-on-year increase of 14%. South Korea and Japan ranked second and third with approximately 3.13 million tons and 2.16 million tons, respectively.
