According to the statistics from Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), Iran was estimated to hike its crude steel production by 25 million tons in future four years. The requirement from domestic plants was expected to be fulfilled then.
Iran was one of the 10 countries where contained most minerals. Until now, there were 68 kinds of minerals were found, such as iron ore, copper and zinc.
Iranian steel production amounted to about 25 million tons in 2018, which grew by 17.7% compared with 2017. Meanwhile, Iran ranked the tenth largest steel output in 2018 from the 13th in 2017.
