Last week Turkish hot dip galvanized demand remained flat, those for exports market has improved slightly and the domestic price also remained soft.
Market participants are not reluctant to hold high stocks into the new year, so only purchases the necessary quantity with their needs. On the other hand, suppliers provide discount of US$20/ton, in order to clean up inventory.
Current prices for hot dip galvanized with thickness of 0.5mm are at US$590~610/ton, those for prices with thickness of 1mm are at US$535~555/ton, not including VAT, for advance payments.
