There would appear to be little debate that the largest commercial heat treater in Australia is family owned Heat Treatment Australia with three locations in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane with the heat office and largest facility in Brisbane. Their success would appear to be based upon the fact that they have concentrated on high end heat treating such as the aerospace industry (we believe they are the only NADCAP accredited commercial shop in Australia although we could be wrong on that) although the company can offer virtually any type of processing. These photos give you a feel for the company with the one showing Norm Tucker in front of a 15 Bar SECO/WARWICK vacuum furnace. Norm and his sister Karen Stanton are the two individuals who run the company. Rumor has it that there will be some very impressive and ambitious changes at the company in the near future including-well we will leave that for another day but suffice to say you will be hearing more about HTA down the road.
