Indian RINL plans to invest new coke plant with 30 million tons capacity-—The 20th China(Guangzhou)Int’l Heat Treatment, Industrial Furnace Exhibition

Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd.(RINL) recently mentioned that based on 2017 steel industry policy, India aimed to produce 300 million tons of crude steel in 2030. To this end, the investment in new coke plant with 30 million tons capacity will be necessary.
New coke ovens had to be economical and productive. At present, China, the US, Brazil, Australia and Colombia all used the non-recovery/heat-recovery (NR-HR) coke ovens, which had the advantages of low cost and high performance efficiency, also new technology could optimize coke quality and reduce pollution.
RINL believed that the new NR-HR coke oven will benefit sustainable development of Indian steel and solve shortage problem of coal.
