Anderson Industries LLC, in Mapleton, N.D., has acquired 100% of the shares of Dakota Foundry Inc. in Webster, S.D. Dallas-based mergers and acquisitions advisory firm Generational Equity reports the metalcaster is poised for growth.
Dakota Foundry manufactures gray and ductile iron castings up to 5,000 lbs. for the industrial, construction, agriculture and transportation industries. It complements Anderson Industries'' specialization in metal fabrication, providing weldments and machined components to equipment manufacturers in the agriculture and construction industries.
"We are very excited about the acquisition, which will allow us to provide more value-added services to all of our combined customers," says Kory Anderson, president, Anderson Industries. "Our vision is to manufacture solutions that enhance our customer''s experience, productivity and profitability. The acquisition of the foundry allows us to be a one-stop shop for our customer''s metal fabrication or iron casting needs."
Anderson''s history with Dakota Foundry goes back to 2006 when he had just started Anderson Industries and was supplying metalcasting patterns from his garage. Today, Anderson Industries LLC has five manufacturing locations in North and South Dakota with a total of 160 employees.
