Castool Tooling Systems, a division of Exco Technologies Ltd. based in Uxbridge, Ontario, Canada, and Gurtnellen, Switzerland-based Schmelzmetall AG have agreed to expand the promotion and sales of one another''s products.

Castool designs and manufactures tooling systems for diecasting machines and extrusion presses. Schmelzmetall produces high performance copper alloys for diecasting.

Since 1993, Castool has sold Allper’s ring and plunger tip technology in North and South America, and Schmelzmetall has supplied high performance copper alloys for pistons to Castool through Allper. Castool purchased Allper in 2009.

Castool will add Schmelzmetall products to its supply and distribution channels throughout the American and Asian markets, and Schmelzmetall will promote and market Castool’s products throughout Europe. The companies will introduce this new partnership at Euroguss 2014 in Nurnberg, Germany, January 14-16.
