China''s Anda Group continues to expand its position in the aluminium die casting industry. By enlarging its production facility in Huzhou, the company is responding to the sustained demand from the automotive sector for lightweight components used in both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicles.
While the first phase of the expansion is already operating at high capacity, the second phase is scheduled to be fully commissioned by the end of 2026. Once completed, Anda will increase its annual production capacity by approximately three million aluminium die cast components. The investment is intended to eliminate existing capacity constraints and meet a rapidly growing order backlog that is already secured well into the second half of 2026.
Anda''s product portfolio includes precision aluminium die castings such as oil pans, inverter housings, electric motor housings and suspension components. The company supplies a broad range of automotive manufacturers, including leading Chinese electric vehicle producers NIO and Leapmotor.
Alongside the production expansion, Anda is investing in a new research and development centre. The company plans to bring tool and mould development entirely in-house, reducing the development and pilot production cycle for new products by around one-third. At the same time, dedicated production lines for electric vehicle components will provide additional manufacturing capacity for future customer programs.
Anda is also continuing its strong financial growth. In fiscal year 2025, the company reported revenue of CNY 1.015 billion, representing an increase of 11.4% compared with the previous year. Net profit rose by 20.1% to CNY 69.5 million. Following its listing on the National Equities Exchange and Quotations (NEEQ) in 2024, Anda is currently preparing for an initial public offering on the Beijing Stock Exchange.
The expansion highlights the continuing wave of investment across China''s die casting industry. Automotive suppliers—particularly those serving the electric vehicle market—are significantly increasing production capacity to meet growing demand for complex aluminium lightweight components. Beyond higher output, integrated engineering, tooling and manufacturing capabilities are becoming increasingly important to accelerate the launch of new vehicle programs and strengthen competitiveness in the global automotive supply chain.
