US raw steel production increases by 0.3 percent - week 16, 2026-Spring Industry Exhibition -The 26th China(Guangzhou)International Spring Industry Exhibition

According to the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), the week ending on April 18, 2026, US domestic rawsteel production was 1.848 million net tons while the capacity utilization rate was 80.0 percent.
Production for the week ending on April 18, 2026, increased 0.3 percent from the previous week ending April 11,2026, when production was 1.843 million net tons and the rate of capacity utilization was 79.8 percent.
Production was 1.684 million net tons in the week April 18, 2025, while the capacity utilization was 75.0 percent.
The current week production represents a 9.7 percent increase from the same period in the previous year.
Adjusted year-to-date production through April 18, 2026, was 27.719 million net tons, at a capacity utilizationrate of 77.7 percent. That is up 5.8 percent from 26.203 million net tons during the same period last year, whenthe capacity utilization rate was 76.1 percent.
