NMDC Limited, an Indian state-owned mining company, reported that its iron ore production totaled 4.31 million tons in February this year, growing by 11.7% compared to the same month a year ago.
During the given period, NMDC’s iron ore sales volume amounted to 3.97 million tons, which increased by 22.2% from the same period a year earlier.
In the first 11 months of the fiscal year (April 2021-February 2022), NMDC’s iron ore production and sales reached around 37.2 million tons and 36.6 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 26% and 25.5%, respectively.
