According to statistics, Brazil exported around 38,200 tons of scrap in January, falling by nearly 30% compared to the previous month while surging by 101.5% from the same month a year ago.
Among them, the exports were mainly to Bangladesh (around 22,100 tons), India (around 7,100 tons), and Pakistan (around 4,600 tons).
In terms of imports, Brazil’s scrap imports totaled roughly 2,700 tons in January, up by 30.6% month on month but down by 92.3% year on year.
The imports from Bolivia were 1,800 tons, those from Paraguay were 530 tons, and those from Mexico were 80 tons.
