Hydro’s Aluminium Rolled Products earns ASI’s Performance Standard Certification-2019 China(Guangzhou)Int’l Metal & Meta

Norwegian aluminium firm Norsk Hydro ASA subsidiary Hydro Aluminium Rolled Products GmbH has become the most recent firm to be certified against the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative’s Performance Standard for environmental, social, and governance performance. ASI said that the firm is the 20th recipient of the organization’s certification against its standards for responsible production, sourcing, and stewardship of aluminium. The certification against ASI’s standards was carried out by the independent third-party firm of DNV GL. Hydro Aluminium Rolled Products’ processes passed certification by the third-party auditor, which reviewed the firm’s processes at its primary operations in Germany.
Fiona Solomon, Chief Executive Officer at ASI, recognized Hydro Aluminium Rolled Products achievement in the press release marking the occasion. He said “ASI warmly congratulates Hydro on the successful achievement of their third ASI certification, underscoring Hydro’s strong commitment to sustainability across their business. Aluminium rolled products reach a wide variety of downstream industries, and ASI is delighted to see this important sector growing its uptake of ASI Certification.”
Kjetil Ebbesberg, Executive Vice President of Rolled Products at Hydro, said “We are happy and proud to receive this important certification from ASI, and to soon be able to offer certified aluminium to our customers. This is an important next step on our ambitious sustainability agenda.”
