Tosyalı Holding, a Turkish mining and metal company, has announced that its subsidiary, Tosyalı Algerie, will export a total of 15,000 tons of pipes to Angola. These pipes, up to 55 meters long, with more than 25 years of corrosion resistance, will be used for the expansion of the Namibe container terminal, the restoration of Sacomar port, and the expansion of Namibe Port.
It was understood that the total cost of these expansion and rehabilitation projects is about US$600 million and has been supported by the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC).
These projects are also strategic for Tosyalı Algerie, as the company will use these ports to export the iron ore it produces in the country.
