Russian TMK’ steel pipe shipments rise- The 19th China (Guangzhou ) Int’l tube & pipe Processing Equipment Exhibition

According to the statistics from TMK, the world''s leading steel pipe manufacturer, TMK’s steel pipe shipments totaled around 980,000 tons in the first quarter, up by 1% compared to the previous quarter and up by 16% compared to the same period last year.
Among them, the shipment of seamless steel pipe was around 680,000 tons, accounting for 70% of the total, keeping unchanged from the previous quarter and rising by 3% year on year; that of welded steel pipe was around 300,000 tons, increasing by 4% compared to last quarter and hiking by 64% from the same period a year earlier.
TMK expected the demand for steel pipe would continue to grow this year. High oil price was beneficial to the demand for drilling rig in Russia, and the requirement for oil pipe from North America would also increase further.
