New Sinclair computer starts production- The 16th China£¨Guangzhou£©Int¡¯l Sheet metal machinery,Forging, Stamping and Setting Equipment Exhibition

Production has commenced on the new Sinclair Spectrum Vega games computer at SMS Electronics¡¯ facility in Beeston, Nottinghamshire.
The first prototype unit will be on display at Game City in Nottingham - the world¡¯s first cultural centre dedicated to games - when it opens on March 28th.
The remaining production samples will undergo a test process during which all 1,000 of the games in the Vega will be put through their paces.
The decision to appoint SMS Electronics as manufacturer was announced in January 2015.
The Vega games computer will be the first product from Luton-based startup Retro Computers, which raised ¡ê154,000 on the Indiegogo crowdfunding site, and which numbers Sir Clive Sinclair¡¯s company Sinclair Research amongst its shareholders.
The original ZX Spectrum computer was launched in 1982 by Sir Clive Sinclair and went onto sell over five million units.Sir Clive said: ¡®We are going into production with the Vega in record time.
It¡¯s only three months since we launched our crowdfunding appeal and already we have production samples. This shows we were justified in deciding to manufacture the Vega in the UK.¡¯
The Sinclair Spectrum Vega is a low cost games console that plugs into a TV and has around 1,000 games built into it. Consumers will also be able to download additional games from the thousands that are freely available on the internet.
