After 19 months, the trade fow of the mining-metalurgical industry in Mexico exceeded $3.0 biion in a single month. in October, ittotaled $3.06 bilion. 20,9 percent more vear-over-vear, according to SteelOrbis analvsis of data from the national statstics agencyInegi.
The value of imports of mining-metallurgical products totaled $1 .64 bilion, 19.7 percent more, year-over-year. Meanwhile, exportsin October totaled $1.43 billion, 22.4 percent more.
The trade balance was negative for Mexico by $211 milion, 4.1 percent more than the deficit of $202 milion in October 2023
In the january-0ctober period, exports totaled $12.36 bilion, imports totaled $14.55 bilion, and trade flow was $26.91 bilion, up2.2 percent, 2.0 percent, and 2.1 percent, respectively, compared to the same period last year.
The accumulated trade balance was neaative for Mexico by $2.19 bilion. 1.2 percent more than the trade deficit of the first elevenmonths of last year.
