| Commercial production at Walsin Lihwa’s new copper alloy rod and wire plant in China is expected to start in July or August. The plant with a 100, 000 tpy capacity is in Nanjing and will be the Taiwanese copper wire and stainless steel producer’s third plant in China. The plant will push the company’s copper alloy rod and copper alloy wire production capacity in China to 330, 000 tons annually. The other plants are in the Guangdong and another one also in Nanjing. Walsin also has a 170, 000 tpy plant in Taiwan’s Taoyuan County that also produces copper rod and wire. (June 12)
