Reuters quoted China data released by the National Bureau of Statistics showed that China’s zinc output rose by 18.9% YoY to 528,000 tonnes in August. The figure is the highest monthly total in record since December 2017 and came amid a recovery in smelter operating rates following summer maintenance
The bureau said that it said that China’s August alumina output rose 3.5% YoY to 6.04 million tonnes, although the figure was the lowest since October 2018. China Aug refined copper output +8.1% YoY at 800,000 tonnes
