Based in Alberton, Johannesburg, Endeco has been established for more than 30 years and designs and supplies foundry equipment to the South African market. The company¡¯s existing facilities and personnel will be developed to provide full market support for installation, service and repairs, spare parts availability and manufacturing of the complete Omega product range.
Peter Petersen of Mondeco Solutions, who is the current Omega agent, will be handling sales and marketing and will also be a shareholder of the new venture. Roy Dias will be appointed managing director and Victor Dias will be technical director.
Chairman of Omega, Mark Fenyes, said: ¡°South Africa is a very important market for Omega and since gaining some significant projects in the region it was obvious that we needed to take the next step and establish a local presence. I am very pleased that an agreement to partner with Endeco has been reached and we will be looking to build on the synergies between our companies to deliver a full range of services and products to the market.¡±
Omega Foundry Machinery - a leading manufacturer of no-bake equipment - was established in 1984 and is based in Peterborough UK. The company has a successful history of developing joint ventures to support regional markets; the first JV company was formed in the USA in 2000 and subsequently similar ventures have been formed in India, Australia, Turkey and Malaysia.
