Last week, Metro Mining Ltd., a big and famous Australian mining group based in Brisbane, announced that they had signed an expanded Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Xiamen Xiangsen Aluminium Ltd. (Xiangsen Aluminium).
According to this agreement, Metro will supply Xiangsen Aluminium around 5 million wet metric tons of bauxite in the next three years. Metro Mining planned to deliver about 1.7 million wet metric tons of bauxite ore to Xiangsen Aluminium in each of the coming years.
The two parties will sign a formal agreement within the next two weeks. This deal gives Metro great hope for the coming capacity expansion.
