With the risen of problems resulting from Brexit, the production of cars had fallen by around 45% since April. Producers were unable to properly forecast demand and it had slowed down operations as a safety measure from the uncertainty of Brexit.
The main reason for various car manufacturers to decide to cut their production in the UK was the fear of the UK entering the global market without trade agreements, which would cause the manufacturers to spend more on their cost.
Honda had decided to pull production from the UK and several companies, such as BMW Mini and Jaguar Land Rover, had decided to stop production.
Because of this, investments were temporarily stopped and job security was weakening. Various suppliers such as steel and other metals were also seeing a dip in sales.
Experts say that if the UK got a promising trade deal from Brexit, production can recover by the end of 2019.
