About 3.7 million tons of diecastings were produced in 2015, according to the Foundry Institution of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (FICMES) research, and about 70 per cent of them are used for automobiles and motorcycles.

According to market research, the sales volume of cars recovered in 2016 and the 4G and 3C industries are booming, all leading to steady growth in the diecasting industry.
