Advanced Cast Products Inc. (Meadville, Pennsylvania) has won the 2017 Governor’s Award for Safety Excellence. 

“Our mindfulness toward the health and wellness of the Advanced Cast Products team is the result of a company’s team effort, and we are proud to share the honor of this award with our community,” the company said in a news release. “We thank you for your support and look forward to continuing our excellence standards to provide our customers with an unparalleled product derived from the highest safety practice standards possible.”

ACP was one of 57 applicants reviewed and was chosen among the top six for an onsite visit. Only three of those companies earned the honor. ACP was presented the award on Oct. 30, and there was an onsite presentation from the state’s department of labor and industry on Nov. 15.

ACP is a ductile iron foundry with a programmed Austempered Ductile Iron (ADI) heat-treating line. ACP''s primary markets include heavy truck, construction equipment, railroad and mining parts.
