Modern Heat Treat, a commercial heat treating operation located in Richland Hills, Texas, is preparing for delivery of another new AFC-Holcroft UBQ (Universal Batch Quench) furnace, size 36-72-44 to accommodate their continued growth.
This addition brings the number of AFC-Holcroft UBQ furnaces bought by this customer to seven. Modern Heat Treating has systematically added one furnace per year for the past 4 years in a row. The addition of this seventh AFC-Holcroft UBQ furnace further boosts the customer’s production capability by another 6,000 lbs. gross load capacity, and will be a duplicate of existing AFC-Holcroft furnaces already running production.
Modern Heat Treat selected the UBQ design to gain maximum flexibility in controlling their production. As production increased, Modern Heat Treat have benefited from the modular, flexible UBQ design to add new equipment to their facility incrementally, creating full production cells that utilize existing controls. Individual furnaces can be idled then restarted easily as needed for maintenance service, changes in process or production.
“The modular design of the UBQ allowed Modern Heat Treat to select the options that meet their specific needs. AFC-Holcroft is proud to be a part of the continued impressive growth of Modern Heat Treat” says Tracy Dougherty, Sales Manager, AFC-Holcroft.
The UBQ furnace is scheduled to ship during the 4th quarter of 2014.
