According to data released by the Vietnam Steel Association (VSA), the country’s output of steel products in January experienced a decrease of 30% and 5% compared to the previous month and the same month a year earlier respectively.
The country’s construction steel sales also registered a decrease of 42% compared to the same time of last year due to weak demands.
It is expected the steel market will be improved in March as some construction projects will soon be starting. However, the domestic steel sector continues to face difficulties ahead with slowing down sales in this month.
