According to Taiwan Customs statistics, Taiwan billet imports totaled around 80,000 tons in May, which rose by 18% compared to the previous month.
Among them, one lot of billet with around 9,000 tons from Indonesia would be supplied by PT Dexin Steel Indonesia (DSI) which is a Chinese-Indonesia joint venture steel plant and just started production this February.
The first place in the ranking of billet imports was Japan and the total quantity was around 45,400 tons.
