Japanese steel exports hike in Mar m-o-m-- The 20th China (Guangzhou) Int’l Plate metal, Bar, wire, Metal Processing &Setting Equipment Exhibition

According to the statistics from the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF), Japanese steel exports hiked by 18.3% this March compared with last month.
After a series of impacts that reduced Japanese steel production in early 2019, the steel mills resumed to manufacture in early April. However, the steel output in April still dropped by 17.9% compared with same month of last year.
An official from JISF told that exports might be supportive by increasing steel production, but it wouldn’t soar too much since the domestic steel demand kept growing as well.
Most steel products including ordinary, plates, hot-rolled and cold-rolled coils exports went down year on year but grew month on month.
