Chu Kong Petroleum and Natural Gas Steel Pipe Holdings Limited, the largest manufacturer and exporter of longitudinal submerged arc welded steel pipes in China, is pleased to announce that the Group has been awarded a sales orderfor a gas project in Peru, to deliver approximately 57,700 tonnes of longitudinal submerged arc welded (“LSAW”) and electric resistance welded (“ERW”) steel pipes to Odebrecht E&P GmbH. The Sale Order accounted for approximately RMB413 million, is expected to be delivered in 2015.
Taking into account the Sales Contract and the orders received up to the date of this announcement, the Group has received new orders to supply in aggregate 490,000 tonnes of welded steel pipes for the period from January 2014. These new orders include orders from overseas customers to supply an aggregate of 309,000 tonnes of steel pipes, as well as orders from the three major oil and gas companies in China and for various city gas and infrastructure projects in China. Adding the undelivered orders of 171,000 tonnes of welded steel pipes brought forward from the year 2013, the Group has accumulated orders to supply in aggregate 661,000 tonnes of welded steel pipes up to the date of this announcement.
Mr. Chen Chang, Chairman of the Group, comments, “Adhering to PCK brand, an international brand name, the Group successfully received steel pipe orders from South America, our overseas sales increased significantly. Domestically, we have further strengthened our relationship with CNPC by signing a cooperation agreement with one of its subsidiaries, CPP Material & Equipment Corporation and become its preferred strategic supplier. CPPMEC will inform PCK its new projects, as well as to recommend and procure PCK’s products and services. We believe that the momentum of our business development is considerably strong, given our well-established worldwide business network and reputation with our high-end steel pipe manufacturing technology. We will continue to strive for new orders with our high-quality steel pipe products and diversified product strategy.”
