A pipe leak happened on Mariella ferry of Viking Line and watered 50 cabins on Saturday night, Finnish media reported on Sunday.

The accident occurred, when the cruise ship carrying hundreds of passengers was navigating from Swedish capital city Stockholm to Finnish capital city Helsinki.

According to Viking Line, the water leak was from the main firebreak running through the middle storey of the ship. The leak flooded about 50 of its 100 cabins mostly on the fourth and fifth decks.

Passengers have been re-accommodated to additional cabins on the conference deck located on the ship''s eighth floor.

The accident did not pose any danger to the safety of the ferry and its passengers, said Viking Line.
