Kett Tool’s KD-440 double-cut shears deliver precision cuts in cold-rolled mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum without warping or bending the original material or the finished piece, the company reports.

The dual blades transfer any distortion produced in cutting to a 7/32-in. waste strip, leaving the sheet cool and free of burn, chips, and burrs. The shears use a 5-amp pistol-grip, variable-speed, 2,500-RPM motor that cuts through 14-ga. cold-rolled mild steel, most grades of stainless to 16 ga., and aluminum to 0.125 in. thick. Cutting speed is more than 150 IPM.

The 5-lb. shears, maneuverable to follow a scribed line, can cut a radius as small as 7 in.
