Gerdau to repair Ouro Branco blast furnace-2019 China(Guangzhou) Int’l Laser Equipment and Sheet Metal Industry Exhibition

Brazilian integrated steelmaker Gerdau will commence revamping plan on No.1 blast furance at Ouro Branco works from the second half of this year, and the total investment amount reached to US$9.6 million.
Gerdau so far has 350,000 tons plate stock which is sufficient for domestic demand; however, they are going to buy 15% more from local market to keep up inventory level for safety sake.
