Canada initially rules corrosion-resistant steel sheet imports from 4 countries damage domestic market-2019 China(Guangzhou) Int’l Laser Equipment and Sheet Metal Industry Exhibition

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) conducted an investigation of anti-dumping on certain imports of corrosion-resistant steel sheet from China, Taiwan, India and South Korea, and initially confirmed that these imports have caused damage or threats to the domestic producers.
The investigation was launched in July this year based on the complaint from ArcelorMittal Dofasco, which was supported by Stelco. Stelco said that the Canadian industry was seriously impacted by dumping problems.
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) was conducting the investigation on this case and expected to announce its preliminary ruling by October 24th.
