According to the statistics from the World Steel Association (worldsteel), global steel demands would reach around 1.61 billion tons this year, rose by 1.8% year on year.
It was expected that the global steel demands would rise by 0.7% and come to 1.62 billion tons. However, there was no noticeable growth in Chinese steel demands.
According to the reports, Chinese steel demands would decrease by 2% next year due to the construction industry was not active, and it was estimated that the demands on steel this year remained steady.
