It was reported that Indian government announced on April 26th that it accepted a long-term agreement to supply high-grade iron ore to Japan and South Korea.
MMTC Limited, an Indian metals and minerals trading company, would start to export iron ore lumps and fines with iron content of 64% and remain the annual exports within 5.5 million tons. The period for this long-term agreement was five years.
According to the agreement, Japan would obtain 4.3 million tons of iron ore and South Korea would get the remains, most of which would be obtained by POSCO.
