According to Bangladesh said that a major Chinese steel company would invest about US$2.13 billion on steel joint venture project in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh National Special Economic Zone (BEZA), China¡¯s Yunnan Yongle Overseas Investment Co., Ltd. and Bangladesh Star Infrastructure Development Consortium Limited signed two memorandums of understanding in the capital of Bangladesh.
The Chinese mainstream steel company has tried to invest in Bangladesh and set up a Bangladesh-China steel international capacity and cooperation demonstration zone, which has a comprehensive annual output of 2 million tons of steel.
