IPA Offers $2,000 Cash Prize for Photographs Featuring Perforated Metal Materials- The 18th China£¨Guangzhou£©Int¡¯l Sheet metal machinery,Forging, Stamping and Setting Equipment Exhibition

The Industrial Perforators Association (IPA) seeks the nation¡¯s best photographs of perforated metal materials that feature a broad range of applications ¨C from artistic design to functional spaces¡ªcapturing the endless ways perforated metals are used. And there¡¯s a big reward ¨C three cash prizes for best photographs, including a $2,000 grand prize.
From practical every day uses to edgy design masterpieces, perforated materials have changed today¡¯s modern landscape in both functionality and aesthetics. When it comes to perforated materials, round holes are most commonly used, but square holes, triangles, hexagons, slots and decorative patterns are also used to add a unique element to any design. Whether the intended function is to add style, manage acoustical levels or maintain privacy, perforated metals are evident in a variety of locations and products that consumers encounter every day.
¡°There are endless opportunities for the use and integration of perforated materials,¡± said Keith Mailloux, IPA President. ¡°We want to expose the ways perforated materials are used in practically any design concept or functional application.¡±
The 2016 Perforated Metal Materials Photography Contest runs through October 28, 2016. Photographs are judged based on the level of innovation, aesthetic appeal and application or functionality of the perforated metal materials.
Winning images will be featured in future IPA print, digital and online promotional materials plus editorial content. Judging will take place at the Fall IPA Meeting, November 11-12, 2016. Winners will be announced shortly after the meeting.
